~NSF workshop to learn about applying for the Graduate Research Fellowship Program, a prestigious award available to undergraduate students in their senior year that have been accepted to a graduate school

~Writing workshops offered by Sweetland Writing Center to assist in graduate school applications and writing skills  (http://www.lsa.umich.edu/sweetland/)

~Weekly seminars, sponsored by Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP), covering topics such as funding graduate school, academic writing and academic conferences and presentations

~Social events with UM Neuroscience Graduate Program faculty and students.  Events have included potluck dinners, sporting events, tour of the Big House, meals at local restaurants, movie nights and various Ann Arbor summer events

~Bi-monthly journal clubs with UM-Neuroscience Graduate Students

~End of summer poster session and presentation to share your summer project with a group of faculty, students and lab personnel
