Dr. Akil is the corresponding author on a recent paper in Neuron, which presents key insights and recommendations on how neuroscience education must change. Meeting at the Forum on Neuroscience and Nervous System Disorders of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine workshop in 2014, Dr Akil, and a group of top senior neuroscientists collaborated to develop these recommendations.
