Weight-Regulating Brain Cells Discovered

A team led by NGP faculty member Malcom Low, MD, PhD and Marcelo Rubinstein, PhD, has found brain cells in the hypothalamus that act to control the feeling of fullness. The cells work by sending out chemical signals to the body to regulate appetite and could be the next step in controlling obesity. For more information on their research, check out the link below.
