Current project: We are interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms that govern synaptic function during homeostatic scaling using molecular, biochemical, and electrophysiological techniques.

Other interests: In collaboration with Dr. Susan Shore, I will also be investigating the role of multiple forms of synaptic plasticity in the hippocampus during tinnitus development.

Teaching experience: I took on a role as a graduate student instructor for an undergraduate laboratory course for one semester (MCDB 423). I will also be teaching a bootcamp course for incoming neuroscience graduate students alongside Dr. Michael Roberts and Dr. Omar Ahmed this summer (2017).
