Biography/Resume:

The Leiser lab studies the biology of aging, focusing on how stress and the perception of stress each affect long-term health.  We are interested in both the neuronal networks that identify and relay environmental conditions as well as the mechanisms of the downstream targets that modify the physiological stress response.  We use multiple model organisms (worms, cells, and mice) to understand the conservation of these stress pathways in the context of aging.
